#13 motimoti imomoti

Hello, I will introduce original recipe!

  Information

 Imomoti is a local food in Hokkaido. In the Meiji period, we didn't grow rice there because it was too cold. So, they looked for a staple food alternative to rice. In that time, thoughtful food was imomoti because there grew a lot of potatoes. 

 It is recommended because you can get satisfaction with less material and its texture is good. Especially, recommended for snacks. But, it is very high in calories. When eating it, you should take care to eat it too. 


The recipe

Ingredients(4 peices) 

  • Two medium potatoes

  • Two tablespoon potato starch

  • two tablespoon milk  

  • 30g melt cheese 

  • ¼ teaspoon salt 

  • tablespoons salad oil

  • a tablespoons sugar 

  • Two tablespoons soy sauce

  • Two tablespoons mirin


Tools necessary to cook

  • Peeler for peeling potatoes 

  • Cutting knife to cut and pilar potatoes 

  • Cutting board to cut potatoes 

  • Heat-resistant bowl to heat potatoes in microwave oven

  • Microwave oven(600w)

  • Bowl to mix and mash potatoes  

  • Masher or fork to mash potatoes

  • Spatula to mix

  • Tablespoons to measure ingredients

  • Teaspoons to measure salt  

  • Flying pan

  • Gus stove 


Instructions

  1. Wash and peeraer potatoes.                          2.Cut potatoes into small pieces.                              




  1.  Put the cut potatoes in a heat-resistant bowl and heat them in a microwave oven for 5 minutes at 600W. Check the hardness and if they are hard, heat them in the microwave oven for 30 seconds until the chopstick is pierced.




  1. Mash potatoes with masher or fork                       5.Add salt and mix. 

         


      6.Add milk and potato starch and mix.                     7.Divide into 4 equal parts.

         Adjust the amount of milk until it is as 

      hard as earlobe.



8.Spread out flat, put the cheese in                   9. Put salad oil in a frying pan and bake and wrap it so that it hides.                     until browned on both sides. 

                                                                        

          10.Add soy sauce, sugar, mirin and boil them down.

                       



Conclusion  

 Imomoti is easy and so delicious. Especially, I like this texture's moti moti. But, there is a point to the recipe. It is carefully wrapped in the cheese because cheese sometimes comes out. When I made, two imomoti comes out cheese. It should be tightly wrapped. Also, I tried to wrap cheese. But, you can enjoy arranji. For example, mix or wrap something. Please, look for your favorite aranji.
